After serving four years in the Marines, my hips were badly damaged. I lived in pain for three years and could not find relief until I started exercising functionally. Born in Miami and raised in Naples, FL, Wife and mother of three, Yami originally began her career in the Dentistry field as a Certified Dental Assistant but quickly fell in love with the fitness world after her second daughter was born in 2009. Yami signed up for a Boot Camp that was being offered at the on base gym where her husband was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.  Her goal was to lose the baby weight before her husband returned from Afghanistan.  After completing a 6- week boot camp she began taking Group Fitness classes and decided to become a certified in several different formats as well as her Personal Trainer Certification.
